FAQs

  • Do you bill to insurance?

We do! Bring your benefits card and we will take care of you from there. Some policies do not allow direct billing; if that’s the case, we will let you know right away so there aren’t any unexpected surprises. For more information click here.

  • What should I wear to my appointment?

For physiotherapy and chiropractic visits, please wear clothing that allows you to move freely. We do have a supply of clean shorts, t-shirts, and hospital gowns if you’re coming in with tighter clothing.

  • Do you treat motor vehicle accident (MVA) injuries?

Absolutely! If you’ve been in a motor vehicle accident, please bring your insurance information and the accident report if you have one.

  • Do you treat workplace injuries?

Yes, and we’re registered with the Workplace & Safety Insurance Board of Ontario (WSIB). If you’ve been injured at work, we can help.

  • Do I need a Doctor’s note?

You don’t need a doctor’s note to access any of our services. Your insurance plan, however, may require a doctor’s note to reimburse you for certain services like massage therapy, physiotherapy, or orthotics. If you’re uncertain, just ask! We can contact your insurer on your behalf during your appointment to verify the terms of your coverage.

  • I’m pregnant, is it safe for me to get care?

Absolutely, and we treat pregnant women all the time. Massage, Physiotherapy, and Chiropractic care can be quite helpful for the aches & pains that come with your changing body.

  • What types of massages do you offer?

Our therapists use a blended technique, with roots in Swedish massage. As they treat you, our therapists may incorporate deep tissue work, trigger point release, and tissue stretching & mobilization as well, based on your preferences and their clinical judgement.

  • How long will my visit be?

For Chiropractic & Physiotherapy assessments, the first visit will take between 45 and 60 minutes. Follow-up treatments take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. For Naturopathic visits, our initial assessments take about an hour, and follow-up appointments are booked in either 30 minute or 60 minute sessions. For massages, we offer 30, 45, 60, and 90 minute sessions.

  • My back hurts. Who should I see?

It depends! If you’re uncertain about what type of service would be best for you, just give us a call at 905-389-9522. We can go over a bit of details regarding your health & figure out who you should see.

  • How many treatments will I need?

It depends! Recovery times vary with the nature of your injury, your day to day physical demands, your overall health, etc. Wry or “kinked” necks can often resolve in as little as 1-2 treatments, and whiplash-type injuries from car accidents can take a few months to fully heal. After your initial consultation & examination, our Doctors & therapists will tell you what you should expect going forward and how you can help accelerate your recovery at home.
