Alison graduated with honours from the Oxford College of Business and Arts Massage Therapy diploma program and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from McMaster University.
Alison is also one of a select group of therapists trained and certified by the acclaimed Dr. Vodder School International, to administer Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD). MLD is a method that targets swelling due to injuries, surgery or a form of lymphedema.
Alison discovered a passion for Massage Therapy during treatment she received through Wellness Programs during her journey with Breast Cancer. She felt inspired to become a Lymphedema therapist while receiving radiation and discovering the shortage of therapists available to treat this highly prevalent condition.
She is now cancer-free and gets great satisfaction from giving back to the community through helping to return her clients to the natural wellness that flows. She has worked with breast cancer survivors and other cancer survivors, hospice residents, the senior community, rehabilitating motor vehicle accident patients and patients with Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, and Ankylosing Spondylosis.
Her massage focus includes Manual Lymphatic Drainage, injury rehabilitation, pain management, deep tissue, and general wellness relaxation massage.
